What stays on your device
Offtrail stores your app appearance, daily reminder time, completion feedback settings, task pool suggestions, and today's task state locally on your device.
For free users, active activity records, completed activity history, and optional completion notes are also stored locally on the device.
Deleting the app removes local Offtrail app data from that device.
iCloud sync for paid users
For paid users, Offtrail may sync active activities, completed activity records, optional completion notes, and removed activity state through the user's own iCloud account so those records can appear on their devices.
Task pool suggestions and today's task state do not sync through iCloud.
What is sent for recommendations
When you request task recommendations, the app sends the information needed to shape those suggestions: language setting, local time window, available time, budget preference, chosen Offtrail direction, and freshness preference.
The Offtrail backend uses that request to generate candidate activities. Recommendations are not generated fully on-device.
Service providers
The Offtrail backend and public support pages are hosted with InsForge-related services. Recommendation generation may use DeepSeek. Apple and iOS provide system features such as notifications, mail handoff, and App Store distribution.
If you email support, your message is sent through the mail app and email provider you choose. We use support emails to reply to you and understand reported issues.
What Offtrail does not collect
- Precise location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone data.
- Advertising tracking identifiers.
Your choices
You can turn off daily reminders and adjust completion feedback or appearance settings inside the app. If you have questions about feedback you sent by email, contact us at yuxuan2580@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if Offtrail's data practices change.
